The basics

  • Additional cardholders. It's possible to add up to 9 additional cardholders, so you can share your account with family members. However, it costs $65 p.a. per additional card added to the account, which happens to be the same as what they charge on the platinum version of the card. If you do add additional cardholders, the account holder will have to manage repayments, credit limits, etc.
  • Digital wallets. The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card is compatible with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
  • Gambling transactions. ANZ does not block gambling transactions, but they will incur the cash advance rate and additional cash advance fee per transaction.

Rewards and benefits

  • Complimentary travel insurance. This card comes with complimentary international travel insurance. For cover to be active, the card must have been used to purchase travel expenses prior to departure. Interstate flight inconvenience, rental vehicle excess within Australia, and transit accidents are also covered. Eligibility criteria apply.
  • Concierge services. ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card holders have access to a 24 / 7 concierge service that can help with travel recommendations, shopping advice, price comparison, making reservations and bookings, arranging gifts, etc. Read more about credit card concierge services.
  • Insurances. Cardholders will have extended warranty insurance, fraud protection with ANZ Falcon, price protection insurance, and purchase protection insurance. Eligibility criteria apply.
  • Lounge access. Cardholders get two complimentary passes for Qantas Club lounges every year when flying with Qantas or Jetstar.
  • Rewards points. Use the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card to earn 1 point per $1 spent in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program up to $7,500 per statement period. The earn rate drops to 0.5 points per $1 above $7,500. There is no cap on the number of points you can earn. Balance transfers, cash advances (including transactions classified as cash equivalents), fees, and payments to the ATO do not earn reward points.
  • Sign-up bonus. You can earn up to 130,000 points with the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card. Get 100,000 bonus Qantas Points and a $250 cashback when you spend $5,000 on eligible purchases in the first 3 months from approval. Plus an additional 30,000 bonus Qantas Points when you keep your card for over 12 months. Terms and Conditions apply.

Interest rates and fees

  • Annual fee. The annual fee for this card is $425, with no introductory waiver.
  • Balance transfers. There is no introductory balance transfer offer available for this card. Several banks, including ANZ, have credit card balance transfer offers worth considering, although they tend to have much less to offer in terms of rewards.
  • Cash advances. Cash advances will be charged at 21.99% p.a. with interest accruing on the transaction from the day it was made. In addition, ANZ will also charge a one-off fee to process cash advances made with the card.
  • Foreign transaction fee. Purchases made in a foreign currency while shopping online or while traveling overseas will incur a 3% foreign transaction fee.
  • Interest-free days. This card offers up to 55 days interest-free on purchases (except cash advances) when you pay the account balance in full by the due date. The ongoing rate for purchases will apply otherwise.
  • Purchases. The ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Credit Card does not have any introductory deals on purchases. It charges cardholders 20.99% p.a. on purchases that are carried over from the previous statement period.
