Types of Amplify Rewards credit cards

Each bank offers two cards: Amplify Platinum and Amplify Signature.

  • Annual fees, points earning rates, and benefits vary between cards.
  • Both cards have the same interest rates for overdue payments and cash advances.

Earning Points with Amplify Rewards Credit Cards

Amplify Rewards points are earned on each dollar spent on eligible purchases by both primary and supplementary cardholders. Points are credited to the primary cardholder’s account.

Eligible purchases include regular personal and household expenses such as groceries, petrol, clothing, technology, household goods, travel, and utility bills. Transactions that do not earn points include government charges (e.g., ATO payments), interest charges, bank fees, cash advances, balance transfers, and BPAY payments.

Amplify Rewards Points earn rates

  • Amplify Platinum: Earns 1 Amplify Rewards point per dollar spent.
  • Amplify Signature: Earns 1.5 points per dollar spent.

Points do not expire as long as the card account is in good standing, and there is no cap on the amount of points you can earn.

Bonus points for signing up

Occasionally, sign-up bonus points are offered to new cardholders who meet spending targets within a set period, such as 60,000 points for spending $3,000 in the first 90 days. Signature cardholders can also earn a 10% bonus on points earned 12 months before their birthday.

Switching between Amplify Rewards and Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

While there are no dedicated cards for Qantas Frequent Flyer points, Amplify cards can be linked to Amplify Rewards or the Amplify Qantas program. Cardholders can switch between the two programs as needed. Points earned in each program remain within that program and cannot be converted.

  • Qantas Points earn rate: Typically, Qantas Points are earned at half the rate of Amplify points. For example, a card earning 1.0 Amplify points per dollar would earn 0.5 Qantas points per dollar.
  • Bonus points: The same bonus points are awarded regardless of the chosen program.

Complimentary Benefits of Amplify Cards
